This consideration comes in the wake of recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. However, Putin noted that Moscow would carefully evaluate its next steps before deciding on whether to re-engage in negotiations.
Despite these discussions of potential peace talks, Russian airstrikes in Ukraine have persisted, resulting in significant casualties and damage. A recent attack in Kyiv claimed the lives of seven people, including a 14-year-old boy, and left dozens injured, highlighting the continued human toll of the conflict.
The ongoing hostilities have also impacted Ukraine’s industrial sector. ArcelorMittal, a major steel producer, announced the closure of operations at Ukraine’s largest steel plant due to repeated Russian strikes. These attacks have not only damaged the facility but have also resulted in worker fatalities, further straining Ukraine’s economy as the war endures.
