This performance propelled O’Connor to the top of the overall standings with a score of 2,047 points, narrowly edging out England’s Jade O’Dowda by a mere four points.
O’Connor’s strong start was also evident earlier in the day during the 100m hurdles. She clocked in at 13.54 seconds, which earned her a third-place finish. This time was just 0.10 seconds shy of her personal best, underscoring her competitive form as the games unfolded.
